Free bins to ease burden of clean-up

SHAH ALAM: KDEB Waste Management is providing complimentary RORO (roll-on/roll-off) bins in every lane and area affected by the gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights until the clean-up and repair works are fully completed.

Its managing director Datuk Ramli Mohd Tahir said the company is committed to easing the burden of residents impacted by the incident, particularly in helping offset the cost of recovery that affected residents have to bear, Bernama reported.

“Clean-up activities are still ongoing under our supervision based on the waste generated by residents, especially those who are still making repairs to their homes.

“In Taman Putra Harmoni, we have placed 12 RORO bins while 10 more are located in Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru,” he said after the handover ceremony of the first batch of Fuso trucks yesterday.

Ramli said so far, more than 1,000 tonnes of solid waste have been collected in the affected areas.
