Luyang Police Station receives motorcycles to boost patrol efforts

KOTA KINABALU: Recognising the importance of motorcycle patrols in enhancing crime prevention, the Royal Malaysia Police received four new motorcycles for the Luyang Police Station to support their operations.

The contribution, made by KK Auto Detailer Sdn Bhd as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, aims to help officers conduct patrols more efficiently, particularly in the Luyang area.

“These motorcycles will help officers carry out crime prevention patrols more efficiently, particularly in Luyang. We hope this contribution will boost police visibility and ultimately reduce crime rates in Kota Kinabalu, especially in Luyang,” said KK Auto Detailer manager, Mclaren Zang Ming Hui, during a brief handover ceremony at the station on Monday (April 28).

Zang added that the presence of motorcycle patrol units would strengthen public confidence in local security and act as a deterrent against criminal activities in high-risk areas.

The handover was witnessed by Sabah Contingent Management Department chief, Sr Asst Comm Nik Md Zain Nik Omar, and Luyang Police Station chief, Sub-Insp Rashidi Nawawi.

Zang said it was committed to supporting the efforts of the police, acknowledging the crucial role of regular and visible patrols in maintaining public safety.
