TAPAH: The Election Commission has announced a win for Barisan Nasional in the Ayer Kuning polls.
The EC said Barisan candidate Dr Mohamad Yusri Bakir garnered 11,065 votes, Perikatan Nasional candidate Abd Muhaimin Malek had 6,059 and Parti Sosialis Malaysia's Bawani KS won 1,106 votes.
The EC also said there were 289 spoilt votes and total voter turnout was 58% or 18,230 voters.
The result was announced by returning officer Ahmad Redhauddin Ahmad Shokori at the Dewan Merdeka here on Saturday (April 26).
