"We are waiting for another shard to be taken from the bottom. Due to the weather conditions this week, work has been disrupted," Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said at a press conference at the state police headquarters here on Wednesday (April 23).

He also said that police were planning a potential site visit that would be open to the media next Wednesday.

"The media can see for themselves all the work that is being conducted, the difficulties faced along with its complexity," he said.

The gas pipeline fire on April 1 caused widespread destruction.

A total of 81 homes were reported to have been destroyed with more than 40% structural damage, another 81 were partially destroyed, 57 were affected but not burned, while 218 homes, including those in Kampung Tengah Puchong, were unaffected.
