Teachers found guilty of sexual misconduct will be sacked, says Fadhlina

GEORGE TOWN: The Education Ministry will take severe action on teachers found guilty of sexual misconduct, says Fadhlina Sidek.

"We are currently conducting an investigation but as I have consistently emphasised, there will be no compromise on any form of misconduct, especially sexual offences," said the Education Minister

"As I always say, 'you touch, you go', and this investigation will be thorough and strictly adhere to the existing guidelines and regulations," she said after an event at SMK Bayan Lepas on Friday (April 18).

Fadhlina said this in response to questions about a male teacher at a secondary school in Johor who allegedly sent links to porn sites to a female colleague.

She also claimed she had witnessed 32-year-old male teacher behaving inappropriately with several female students.

He was detained after the female teacher lodged a police report.
