KUALA LUMPUR: Nothing is more fulfilling for a travel vacation plan than discovering an ideal method to pay for flight tickets and all other associated expenses.

And with that in mind, RHB Bank Bhd has returned as the exclusive platinum sponsor for this year’s Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents’ (MATTA) travel fair to offer both great travel deals and financial solutions for holidaymakers. This will be RHB’s fourth consecutive annual partnership with MATTA.

MATTA Fair 2025 will be held from Friday to Sunday at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) here.

MATTA president Nigel Wong said visitors to MATTA Fair 2025 will enjoy exclusive financial deals, tailored promotions and seamless payment solutions for all their travel needs.

This will include discounts of up to RM1,500 on flight tickets and hotels that are designated as RHB’s travel partners when booked using any of RHB’s Visa cards/-i, including its iconic Multi Currency Visa debit card/-i.

He said visitors to the fair will also enjoy 0% instalment payment plans when they use RHB’s Visa credit card/-i with certain participating travel agents.

RHB’s returning partnership continues to provide unique access to financial benefits for MATTA members, empowering them to offer enhanced travel packages to the public.

“This will enhance visitors’ experience and ensure they get the best value for money when booking their next holiday or adventure at the fair,” he told a press conference at Mitec yesterday.

Wong said this year’s MATTA Fair is expected to receive over 210,000 visitors and generate RM217mil in sales.

Visitors would get a chance to win lucky draw prizes if they spent at least RM150 at the fair through the Buyers contest.

Pickleball lovers will also be able to test their racquet skills for free on two pickleball courts that will be set up at Level 1 during the fair.

“A number of experienced pickleball trainers and players will also be at the court to help guide new players,” Wong added.

RHB Bank group community banking consumer finance head Sien Vee Loc said the bank would also offer RM200 off selected golden destination packages along with cashback promotions on Islamic travel packages.

He said visitors can also apply for an RHB Multi Currency Visa debit card/-i at the fair and enjoy a RM20 cashback discount.

Sien stated that the debit card allows the holder to execute seamless transactions in 34 currencies without incurring any foreign currency conversion fees, thereby providing a secure and cashless method for paying expenses while abroad.

“Visitors can then use the card to immediately enjoy the many RHB discounts and travel deals at the fair.

“This partnership with MATTA reflects our ongoing commitment to support Malaysians’ love for travel by offering smart, secure and rewarding financial solutions,” he said.

The fair will open from 10am to 9pm throughout the three days, with free shuttle service available from KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall to Mitec.
