Domestic Trade Ministry raids house over suspected subsidised LPG misuse in Penang


GEORGE TOWN: The Penang branch of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry raided a house in Kampung Jawa, Bayan Lepas here on Wednesday (April 16) over suspected misappropriation of subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Its state director, S. Jegan, said the 2pm raid was the result of a three-week surveillance operation, triggered by public tip-offs about suspicious activities at the premises.
