Two teens killed after motorcycle hits stalled lorry


TANGKAK: Two teenage boys died after their motorcycle hit the rear of a stalled seven-tonne lorry parked on the road shoulder in Bukit Gambir.

The incident occurred near the Kemas kindergarten on Jalan Gambir 35/2 in Taman Bandar at 1.28pm on Friday (April 11), according to the Fire and Rescue Department.

Bukit Gambir station chief Farizan Mokhtar said six personnel were sent to the scene, about 2km away.

“There were two victims who were pronounced dead at the scene," he said in a statement.

The victims were 17 and 18 years old.

Their bodies were handed over to the police for further action, Farizan added.
