KUALA PILAH: A 32-year-old man claimed trial at the Magistrate’s Court here to a charge of causing injury to his wife.

Lee Jia Cheng pleaded not guilty after the charge was read to him before magistrate Yusna Khadijah Md Yusop.

He was charged with allegedly biting his wife, who is also 32, on her forehead, arms and shoulder at their home in Taman Wira Jaya.

The offence by the accused was allegedly committed around 3.20am on April 1.

The accused, who runs a provision shop, was charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code read together with Section 326A of the same legislation.
