Winning Ayer Kuning polls is crucial, says Dr Wee


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said winning the Ayer Kuning by-election is not only crucial but also important to ensure political stability for Barisan Nasional in the coalition’s determination to serve the people.

"I emphasised this when attending the Barisan central coordination meeting on Monday (April 7) chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi," said the MCA president on Facebook on Monday.

"During the meeting, component parties discussed and coordinated efforts related to campaign publicity, deployment of manpower and activities to ensure a Barisan victory in the by-election," added Dr Wee.

Also present at the meeting among others were MCA deputy president Datuk Mah Hang Soon, secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon, Chenderiang assemblyman Choong Shin Heng as well as Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, Barisan secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and MIC deputy president Datuk Seri M Saravanan.
