Preacher Zamri Vinoth arrested over social media post on KL temple

PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested preacher Muhammad Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu over a Facebook post.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said on Thursday (March 27) that the post was over the relocation of the Dewi Sri Pathrakaliamman temple in Kuala Lumpur.

He added that Muhammad Zamri was detained in Perlis and will be remanded on Friday (March 28) at a Kangar court.

Previously, Razarudin said police received 894 reports against the preacher over a statement allegedly insulting Hinduism.
