UN chief 'shocked' by deadly Israel airstrikes in Gaza

GENEVA (AFP): UN chief Antonio Guterres voiced shock on Tuesday (March 18) after hundreds were killed in the most intense Israeli airstrikes in Gaza since a fragile ceasefire took effect in January.

"The secretary-general is shocked by the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza," UN spokesman Rolando Gomez told a press briefing in Geneva.
