Perikatan has sent letter of request for opposition allocation, says Fadillah

PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional has sent an official application letter for its MPs to discuss receiving constituency allocations, says Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the letter was sent by Perikatan chief whip Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan last Friday, Sinar Harian reported on Sunday (March 16).

Fadillah said he would go through the letter and respond promptly.

“Once I have reviewed it, I shall respond.” he was quoted as saying.

Previously, Takiyuddin said he would send a letter to the federal government to discuss allocations for Opposition MPs.

Fadillah declined to elaborate on when constituency allocations would be channelled for Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Previously, Fadillah, also the chairman of the Government Consultation Council, said Syed Saddiq had agreed in principle to the conditions set by the government.

Fadillah explained that all details are now in the final stage and will be finalised soon.
