PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is believed to have completed an interview with the doctor who treated former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Friday.
According to sources, the interview with the doctor was conducted after Ismail Sabri received a medical leave certificate from the doctor.
Additionally, the source mentioned that the interview aimed to assess the health status of the Bera MP.
MACC officers spoke with the doctor from 4 to 5pm to assess Ismail Sabri's health condition and obtain medical information before his scheduled appearance to provide a statement next Thursday.
The interview was held at a hospital where the doctor works," the source told Sinar Harian on Friday.
According to the source, the meeting between the MACC and the doctor was just an interview, not a statement recording process.
Earlier, it was reported that Ismail Sabri was supposed to provide a statement at the MACC headquarters on Friday, but would not be doing so as he was reportedly still unwell.
