Bruneian big biker killed in accident


KOTA KINABALU: A big biker from Brunei was killed when he was thrown into a monsoon drain after colliding with a car along Jalan Kepayan here on Monday (Feb 24).

The victim, riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, was pronounced dead by medical officers at the scene after firemen retrieved his body from the three-metre deep monsoon drain.

Fire station chief Ordine Gulu said the driver of the car, in his 30s, was not hurt in the incident.

He said upon receiving a distress call at 1.26am, a team was sent to the scene close to the Market 88 area.

The identity of the victim, in his 40s, has yet to be disclosed.

He said the case has been handed over to the police for further action.
