Wife nabbed for stabbing husband multiple times


KAJANG: A 59-year-old woman was detained for allegedly murdering her husband following a disagreement.

The 60-year-old man was believed to have been stabbed by the suspect at their apartment home in the district at about 11.05am on Sunday (Feb 16).

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the police had seized a knife that was used as well as other items pertaining to the case.

"The wife has been detained and remanded until Friday (Feb 21).

"The victim's body has been sent for post-mortem, and the cause of death was multiple stab wounds," he said in a statement on Monday (Feb 17).

The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, he said.

"We urge those with information on the case to call investigating officer Asst Supt Mohamed Hafiz Hamzah at 019-6556536 or any nearest police station," he said.
