Jojo from One Nation Emcees dies after suffering heart attack


PETALING JAYA: Jojo of the group One Nation Emcees, whose real name is Nur Hasan Balas, passed away on Sunday morning, believed to be from a heart attack.

The news was shared by singer Mimy Fly, who said that Jojo died after collapsing in a mosque.

"He had a stroke a few months ago. I found out that he suddenly collapsed in the mosque.

"I just received a call from his wife who is in Taiping. I am not yet aware of the full details," she said when contacted by mStar.

Mimim whose name is Shamimi Amalina Norhisham, 39 said they had not met for a long time but kept in frequent contact and had planned to meet soon.

"We got in touch two days ago, and had plans to do some business together for the festive season.

"Jojo was a good person, I haven't seen him in a long time. We only kept in touch through phone calls because he lived in Taiping, Perak," she said.
