Bomba investigating explosion at Klang chemical factory


KLANG: The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department is investigating an explosion at a chemical factory here.

"We are currently identifying the type of chemical involved in the explosion," said its assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar.

"We will provide an update after the preliminaries are completed," he told The Star.

He added that oxygen levels at the location were normal.

The explosion shocked residents in the area, setting social media abuzz with the news.

According to social media, the factory is located in the Sungai Kapar Indah industrial area.
