Papagomo arrested over cheating case, remanded one day


PETALING JAYA: Blogger Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, also known as Papagomo, has been arrested over a cheating case.

In a statement on Friday (Dec 13), his lawyer Rafique Rashid said Wan Muhammad was arrested at around 1.30am by Bukit Aman police and remanded for one day.

He also said he was told that the arrest was linked to a case under Section 420 of the Penal Code (for cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).

Rafique said according to the investigating officer, the arrest was related to a report filed by Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli.
