Senior citizen found dead with multiple stab wounds in Johor


KULAI: A 67-year-old man was found dead with multiple stab wounds at his home in Taman Bahagia, Jalan Murni, Senai, here.

Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said the police were notified of the discovery following a phone call from a man at 11.42am on Saturday (Nov 30).

“We were alerted to a case where an elderly man had been found lying in a pool of blood inside the living room of his home.

“Upon arriving at the scene, police confirmed the victim was a 67-year-old local man who was living alone at the property.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had sustained several stab wounds, believed to have been inflicted with a sharp object,” he said in a statement here on Sunday (Dec 1).

ACP Tan added that the police have launched an investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The police also urged members of the public with any information regarding the incident to come forward.
