Puchong house break-in case solved within hours of crime

SUBANG JAYA: A house break-in case was solved within hours after police apprehended the suspect in Puchong.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said in a statement on Sunday (Nov 24) that the victim had been robbed at around 9pm on Nov 23.

The suspect had entered her home in Puchong Utama through the front door before tying her up. He then ransacked the house, taking a ring, RM600 in cash and a handphone.

Investigations showed that the victim had not locked the door and was alone at home.

When she saw the suspect entering the house, she shouted for help but had her mouth gagged before being tied up.

“At around 2am the next day a police team from the Bukit Puchong police station, led by its station chief, apprehended a local man in Taman Puchong Permai,” he said, adding that the stolen items were also recovered.
