Cops investigating accident on NSE involving police escort


KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman is investigating an accident involving a civilian vehicle and a police vehicle, which was escorting a VIP at KM259 of the North-South expressway.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri (pic) said the department received information about the accident on Saturday (Nov 16), which went viral on social media.

"We received a report on the accident involving two cars in Seremban, Negri Sembilan," he said when contacted on Sunday (Nov 17).

Conn Mohd Yusri said further investigations are being conducted.

"We urge those with information to contact the nearest police station," he said.

On Sunday, a one-minute, four-second video went viral showing a police vehicle escorting a VIP, ramming into the back of another car.
