Cops on the hunt for duo who stole from Ampang surau's donation box


KUALA LUMPUR: Two men broke into a surau here before running off with cash from a donation box there.

In a statement Wednesday (Nov 13), Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said that the complainant had inspected CCTV footage from the surau in Kampung Baru Ampang and observed two unknown masked men entering the building.

According to the footage, the incident occurred on Nov 10.

“The complainant believes that the suspects had climbed a wall of the surau to get inside. Efforts to trace down the suspects are ongoing,” he said.
