Morning showers in Klang Valley, Penang and parts of Johor


PETALING JAYA: Morning thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast in various parts of the country, including Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

According to an advisory issued by the Meteorological Department at 7.55am on Friday (Nov 8), the entire state of Selangor, Negri Sembilan, and Melaka are expected to be affected.

Also affected are Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Other areas are Penang (Southwest Penang Island and Northeast Penang Island), Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak), and Johor (Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru).

The thunderstorms is expected to last until 10am, according to the advisory.
