All six injured Malbatt troops back safe in camp

PETALING JAYA: All six Malaysian Battalion (Malbatt) soldiers who were injured in Lebanon are safely back at camp, says the Armed Forces.

In a statement on Friday (Nov 8), the Armed Forces said that the injured soldier treated at Hospital Hamood was discharged on Friday, at 6.01am Malaysian time.

"Follow-up treatment on those injured will be given by Malbatt 850 medical officers at the Marakah Camp and they will resume normal duties once recovered.

"All affected are safely back at camp," read the statement.

It added that the convoy arrived safely at the camp at around 11.30pm Malaysian time on the same day of the incident.

It said the explosion that injured Malaysian troops was targeted at a civilian vehicle but it also damaged the bus transporting the troops.
