KUALA LUMPUR: The Madani government has provided various forms of assistance to all segments of society, irrespective of race or religion, in line with its commitment to ensuring the welfare of every citizen is upheld, leaving no one behind or marginalised.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in a Facebook post Wednesday (Oct 30), said that this assistance included contributions to the Indian community, particularly for the hardcore poor and those in need.

In the post, Anwar shared photos from a programme involving his political secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, in Pahang.

"Yesterday, Farhan had the opportunity to meet with the Indian community in the Indera Mahkota parliamentary constituency during the Deepavali 2024 voucher presentation ceremony.

"At the event, he handed over the 'Jom Shopping Deepavali 2024' vouchers to 135 recipients to bring them some cheer as they celebrate Deepavali this year," Anwar said. – Bernama
