Yellow alert issued for continuous rain in Kota Kinabalu and west Sabah


PETALING JAYA: A yellow alert warning for continuous rain has been issued for parts of Sabah, including the west coast and its capital Kota Kinabalu.

The warning issued by the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) is for Wednesday (Oct 23) to Friday (Oct 25).

The advisory was issued at 9.45am on Monday (Oct 21).

The areas affected are the Inland areas of Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau, and Tambunan), West Coast, Sandakan (Beluran), and Kudat, as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan.

Meanwhile, much of Malaysia - except for the interior and West coast of Sabah and Labuan - is expected to be free of thunderstorms and heavy rain until 2pm on Monday (Oct 21) in the latest advisory issued by MetMalaysia.
