PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional's win in the Mahkota by-election is a victory for the unity government's development agenda and people's wellbeing, says Dr Zambry Abd Kadir (pic).

"On behalf of Barisan Nasional president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and its supreme council, the coalition records its heartfelt gratitude to the voters for their support.

"Our appreciation also goes to the Barisan election machinery which has camped in Mahkota during the election campaign with the only objective of winning," said the Barisan secretary-general in a statement on Sunday (Sept 29).

"Also not forgotten, Pakatan Harapan partners who supported the campaign for this meaningful win.

Dr Zambry said the win is a vote of confidence of the Johor Barisan under the leadership of Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi who is heading the state government.

"The big mandate further strengthens the Barisan resolve to continuously bring politics of moderation to the people under the leadership of unity government headed by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim," added Dr Zambry.
