GISB never paid taxes for their businesses, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) has never paid taxes for its businesses.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said this was discovered based on a collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board (LDHN).

"We discovered that GISB never paid any taxes for their businesses in line with the investigation under Income Tax Act 1967," he said when contacted on Wednesday (Sept 25).

The IGP did not elaborate further on how long the taxes have not been paid.

The IGP said the police also detected several posts on social media asking for donations for children of GISB members.

"We advise the public not to be fooled by such tactics as it is believed there are parties who are trying to take advantage of the situation," he said.
