Three nabbed over murder of interior designer

PETALING JAYA: Three men have been detained in connection with the murder of a 36-year-old interior designer at an apartment in Bandar Sri Damansara.

Petaling Jaya deputy OCPD Supt M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said the male victim was found fatally stabbed in his apartment on Sept 16.

"His neighbour lodged a police report after hearing an altercation from the victim's apartment at about 11pm and did not see his neighbour after the incident.

"A team of policemen was dispatched to the scene and discovered the victim was killed from stab wounds," he said in a statement on Saturday (Sept 21).

Investigations led police to arrest the suspects aged between 50 and 61 at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur at about 3am on Saturday, he said.

"They had multiple prior criminal records.

"The suspects have been remanded until Thursday (Sept 26)," he said.

Supt M. Hussin said the suspects were believed to have broken into the victim's home.

"An altercation occurred when the victim discovered the intruders when he returned home," he said.

The investigation paper will be completed soon before being referred to the deputy public prosecutor for further action, he said.
