PETALING JAYA: His Majesty, Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has ordered the police to conduct a comprehensive investigation into criminal elements and child abuse in welfare homes allegedly linked to Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holding (GISB).

The King, in a post on his official Facebook page Tuesday (Sept 17), said he viewed seriously the various reports that had been circulating in the media.

"The Islamic creed (akidah) must be protected at all times and should not be taken lightly," His Majesty said in the post.
