Comm Kamarudin calls it a day after 36 years in the force


KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Kamarudin Md Din bids farewell to the police force after 36 years of service ahead of his retirement on Sept 2.

The farewell ceremony, which was held at the Police Training Centre on Friday (Aug 30), was attended by senior police officers and their wives, saw Comm Mohd Kamarudin accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Johariah Urib Mohd Ariffin and other family members.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay was on hand to honour the departing policeman.

The event, which started at 5pm consisted of a performance by the police marching band as well as a poetry recitation.

Comm Mohd Kamarudin was also given the honour of conducting the band's performance.

Comm Mohd Kamarudin was born on Sept 2, 1964, and started his career in the police force on June 5, 1988 after completing the police basic training.

He has helmed two other departments in the police force, which were the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department and the Narcotic Crime Investigation Department.
