Body of man who drowned on recreational trip to Sungai Kedondong found


KUALA LUMPUR: The body of a man who went missing while bathing with his friends in Sungai Kedondong, Batang Kali, Kuala Kubu Baru, Selangor at noon on Friday (Aug 23) has been found.

Kuala Kubu Baru Fire and Rescue station operations commander Asst Fire Supt Wan Muhammad Aslam Md Asri said the victim, 24, had gone with three of his friends to the location for recreational purposes.

"The rescue team discovered the victim’s body at a depth of 2m at 12.50pm and sent the body to Kuala Kubu Baharu Hospital for autopsy,” he said when contacted.

Meanwhile, Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim confirmed the victim’s death, adding that it was classified as a sudden death.

The authorities have yet to release the identity of the victim. – Bernama
