Anwar receives courtesy call from SPA chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim receives a courtesy call from Public Service Commission (SPA) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus.

In a Facebook post on Monday (Aug 12), Anwar said among the issues discussed during the meeting were efforts towards the continuous improvement of SPA in carrying out its functions in accordance with Article 144 (1) of the Federal Constitution.

The Prime Minister said he was informed that the SPA would enhance its talent identification programme by partnering with the Public Service Department (JPA) and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) to attract the best individuals to the public service.

"This includes expanding the SPA community service programme to all corners of the country to provide information on career opportunities in public service, especially in areas with limited internet access,” according to the post. – Bernama
