Twenty-five people trapped due to Selayang river water surge

PETALING JAYA: A total of 25 people are trapped due to a water surge at Sungai Pisang Selayang, Selangor.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said in a statement that he received information about the incident at 1.41pm on Sunday (Aug 11)

Firemen from the Selayang fire station are conducting the operation to rescue the victims.

Ahmad Mukhlis later said six firemen were deployed, and victims saved by 3.26pm.
