Dr Wee expresses sympathies to Mahkota rep's family


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has extended his condolences to the family of Mahkota assemblyman Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain on her passing.

"Her departure will surely be felt, not only by the people of Mahkota but of Johor, especially women," the Ayer Hitam MP wrote on Facebook on Friday (Aug 2).

"As a Member of Parliament from Johor, I have personally witnessed her strength and diligence in serving the people.

Dr Wee said Sharifah Azizah's contribution and devotion to society and the country will be remembered forever.

"May her soul rest in peace," he added.

Sharifah Azizah, 63, died at Hospital Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom in Kluang, Johor on Friday due to internal bleeding.
