Police arrest doctor for allegedly outraging the modesty of a teenage nurse


JASIN: Police arrested a 29-year-old doctor of a private clinic in Merlimau here for allegedly outraging the modesty of a teenage nurse.

Jasin OCPD Deputy Supt Ahmad Jamil Radzi said a team of policemen from Merlimau police station made the arrest at 3.15am on Thursday (June 13).

He said police acted on a report made by a 19-year-old nurse of the 24-hour clinic.

DSP Ahmad said the victim lodged the report at 2.25am on the same day (June 13).

"The suspect is a married man," he said.

He said the suspect is being held for remand until June 15. The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for using force with intent to outrage the modesty of the victim.

There were no patients at the time of the alleged incident.
