Motorcyclists get free insurance coverage worth RM5,000 with purchase of Castrol products.

MALAYSIA’S trusted life insurer MCIS Insurance Berhad (MCIS Life), has teamed up with Castrol – a leading automotive lubricant company, in an industry-first insurance protection programme.

Aimed to provide complimentary insurance coverage with accidental benefits, this programme offers compensation for total and permanent disability arising from accident-related injuries up to RM5,000.

A first-of-its-kind insurance programme, this initiative offers one-month complimentary personal

insurance coverage to any motorcyclists with purchase of Castrol Activ or Castrol Activ Essential products.

To start the insurance application process, customers simply need to scan the QR code at participating outlets or online. They can then upload their receipt and provide their personal details through the Castrol KitaCare portal to complete the process.

The policy offers accidental death or total permanent disability coverage up to RM4,000, along with funeral expenses coverage up to RM1,000.

Commenting on the partnership, MCIS Life chief executive officer and managing director, Prasheem Seebran said:

“As a trusted life insurance provider in Malaysia, we are dedicated to safeguarding the futures of our customers and their loved ones.

Our partnership with Castrol and Zensung exemplifies our commitment to collaborating with like-minded organisations to serve the evolving needs of our community.

“Together, we are excited to craft bespoke solutions that meet the unique requirements of

Malaysian consumers. Our dedication to innovation and service excellence remains unwavering as we continue to redefine the standards in our industry, ensuring that our customers and their families have the financial security and peace of mind they deserve,” added Seebran.

This programme, now in effect, has been bolstered by partnerships with Zensung, a leading fintech platform provider, and Standard Chartered Bank, Castrol's regional banking partner.

This complimentary insurance coverage is exclusively available for Malaysian motorcyclists

aged 18 to 65 years old only. Each motorcyclist can hold up to three active policies concurrently, maximising their protection.
