Investigation into honking incident during burial completed, say Penang cops


GEORGE TOWN: Police have completed their investigation on the incident where a man is believed to have accidentally honked his car horn during the during the burial for a victim who died when two Navy helicopters collided last month.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Razlam Ab Hamid said on Monday (May 6) that the investigation paper under Section 427 of Penal Code had been sent to the legal section of the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further action.

He said police received five reports over the incident which took place on Wednesday (April 24).

The situation was brought under control after on-duty Navy personnel and policemen acted swiftly to prevent the incident from escalating.
