Perlis MB released after MACC questioning


PUTRAJAYA: Perlis Mentri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli has been released after giving his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at its headquarters here.

"MB not remanded. Allowed to go home after providing statement," Mohd Shukri said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (April 30).

Earlier, MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that Mohd Shukri had been detained for questioning.

He said that the MACC was investigating allegations against Mohd Shukri's son.

"My officers also want him to answer several allegations made against him," he said.
