Three houses destroyed in Keningau fire


KOTA KINABALU: Three houses were burnt down during a fire at a Keningau village on Tuesday (April 16).

However, no casualties were reported in the fire at Kampung Ria, Jalan Dangulad there.

The Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said that the emergency call came at 1.55pm.

“When the team arrived, the blaze had already destroyed all three houses.

“The fire was under control at 2.35pm and the operation ended at 3.20pm, after the overhaul was done and ensuring no other risks on site.

“Also present to assist were the police and Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd personnel,” said the spokesman.
