Reuniting Nadir's family proves PM's concern for people's welfare, says Mohd Na'im

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s resolute efforts to reunite the family of Cinta Gaza Malaysia chief executive officer (CEO) Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri Kamaruzaman shows the Prime Minister’s deep concern for the welfare of the people.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar (pic) said the successful mission to reunite Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri’s family, previously in Palestine, also highlighted the wisdom of Anwar’s globally respected leadership.

"The Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) extends our utmost appreciation for the Prime Minister’s determination to successfully reunite Nadir Al-Nuri’s family," he said in a statement on Tuesday (April 16).

Mohd Na’im also called on all quarters to continue supporting the Prime Minister and expressing solidarity in the struggle for peace and well-being in Palestine.

"In this blessed month of Syawal, let us strengthen our unity and pray to Allah for blessings and well-being of the Palestinian people," he added.

Earlier, Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri, in his note titled '183 Long Days' on Facebook and Instagram, revealed that Anwar played a crucial role in the mission to bring his family out of Gaza.

He mentioned that a day before Eid, he was contacted by the Prime Minister’s political secretary, Farhan Fauzi, to go to a specific location along with Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organisations (Mapim) CEO Dr Ahmad Sani Abdul Alim Araby, where he discovered that his family was waiting for him there.

Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri also described the mission to bring his family out of Gaza as a 'crazy mission,' as it was not easy to evacuate his family amid rocket fire and bomb blasts, along with ongoing tensions at the border.

On Monday (April 15), Anwar, through his Facebook post, also expressed gratitude to Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and the Egyptian government for their cooperation in evacuating Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri’s family. - Bernama
