KLIA 2's Transportation Hub revamped to improve travel experience

SEPANG: The Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2’s Transportation Hub has been revamped in a bid to elevate travel experience for passengers.

Led by Asia Success Resources Sdn Bhd, the Transportation Hub will feature technological upgrades that include cashless purchase of bus tickets through mobile apps and kiosks, as well as integration of smart AI technology for automation.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke, who graced the launching event, said the upgrade was important to enhance user experience.

“Since January 2024, Asia Success Resources Sdn Bhd has been managing the Public Transportation Hub Terminal 2.

“I understand that since the appointment of this new company, many facilities have been upgraded.

“The most notable change is the upgrading of ticket sales facilities and bus and passenger access control,” he said in his speech on Monday (April 1) here.

Operator ttklia.com CEO Aaron Chuah B.C.M said the upgrades involved approximately RM3.5mil.

"To enhance operational efficiency and elevate passengers' experience, we have implemented a Centralised Ticketing System, Smart System, and AI-powered Terminal Operating System," he said.

These advanced systems equip the hub to remain resilient and technologically competitive in the ever-evolving transportation landscape.

Loke also launched the “Relax, Reunite & Be Rewarded" campaign organised by gateway@klia2 mall management WTC Malls that will run from April 1 to May 31.

Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM150 across a maximum of three combined same-day receipts using a valid Visa card or Aeon Credit Visa card will receive RM10 or RM20 e-cash vouchers on the WCT Buddy Loyalty app.

Visa cardholders will receive RM10, while Aeon Credit Visa cardholders will enjoy an even more rewarding RM20 e-voucher.

Additionally, a lucky draw will be held for shoppers who spend RM50 or more on a single receipt, with each RM50 spent earning them one entry.

Spending RM100 or more will earn shoppers two entries, increasing their chances of winning fabulous prizes.

Prizes include complimentary AirAsia Ride Transfers for 10 lucky winners, 2-hour Plaza Premium Lounge Access for six fortunate winners, and a Grand Prize of 3 AirAsia return flight tickets to Bangkok.

"We believe that this campaign will not only make shopping at gateway@klia2 a memorable experience but will also provide an opportunity for our shoppers to relax, reunite with their loved ones, and be generously rewarded," said WCT Malls chief executive officer Selena Chua.
