Woman found dead in JB hotel room


JOHOR BARU: A local woman has been found dead inside a hotel room here.

Johor Baru south OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said police received a report about a 40-year-old woman who was found unconscious inside the hotel room at around 3.30am on Sunday (March 17).

"A medical officer from the Sultanah Aminah Hospital emergency and trauma department found that the woman had died.

"Further investigations by the police found no evidence of crime or a struggle," he said here on Sunday evening.

ACP Raub said police have classified the case as sudden death and have sent the victim's body to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

He urged those with information on the case to contact Johor Baru South police at 07-218 2323.
