MCA leaders pay a surprise visit to injured constituent to spread Ramadan cheer

AYER HITAM: The family of Siti Nur Maizurah Rahman had a pleasant surprise when their local leaders visited them at their home.

The 28-year-old, who was visually impaired, suffered a broken leg after a fall at her home in Ayer Hitam in Johor recently.

After learning her plight, Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon visited her and her family to cheer her up.

"Let's pray for the speedy recovery of Siti so that she can live normally again," he said in a Facebook post.

Dr Wee also said he would get Siti Nur Maizurah a suitable wheelchair and other necessities for her recovery.

Ling said he would assist the family with ambulance transportation for her upcoming follow-up at the hospital.

Meanwhile, during their visit, both Dr Wee and Ling also distributed boxes of dates to civil servants in the Ayer Hitam constituency, including the policemen and firefighters.

"Thank you all for always standing behind all Malaysians, safeguarding their lives and belongings all the time," said Dr Wee.
