It was said that the man had brushed his private part against the girl's back while holding her shoulders soon after asking for her contact number.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the incident occurred around 2.30pm on Monday (March 11).

"We received a report from the 14-year-old complainant who claimed that the suspect had approached and asked for her mobile phone number while she was waiting to be served by the shopkeeper.

"She also claimed that the suspect touched her shoulders with both his hands," he said in a statement on Tuesday (March 12).
