Anwar graces the MCA Lunar New Year open house

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived with his entourage at Wisma MCA at 10am to attend the MCA Lunar New Year open house.

He was greeted by MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and other party leaders.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir were also present as well as MIC deputy president Datuk Seri M.Saravanan and former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The leaders and politicians were seen participating in a yee sang tossing event at the MCA hall.

Last week, MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon said the party had invited all political leaders to its Chinese New Year open house.

Chong said the open house was in keeping with the party’s long-standing tradition to celebrate with the people and their leaders.
