Landslide in Bangsar caused by broken swimming pool pipe

KUALA LUMPUR: A landslide occurred behind a bungalow in Bangsar due to a broken swimming pool pipe.

In a statement today, the city Fire and Rescue Department said a call on the incident in Jalan Taman Pantai was received at 10.45am today (Feb 3).

"Preliminary investigations show that a leak in the swimming pool's circulation system could have caused the landslip,” it said.

"The remaining water was removed to prevent the ground from being continuously affected and to reduce the potential of earth movement," added the Department, saying that no victims were reported.

The structure of the house was also unaffected.
