Man beaten up for having affair with another man's wife

KUALA LUMPUR: A man was attacked by a group of people after he allegedly had an affair with one of the attackers' wives.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said that the attack occurred at a restaurant in Ampang on Jan 22.

"At around 10.15am the suspects attacked the victim, leading to a bloody nose. He was then brought to a nearby shed where he was beaten again until he lost consciousness," he said.

The victim is currently still being treated at the Selayang Hospital.

"He is still in a critical state," he said, adding that a police report was lodged by the victim's friend.

Following the attack, the police conducted a series of arrests on Jan 26 and Jan 27, leading to five arrests; three women and two men aged 22 to 32 years.

All have been remanded until Feb 2.

"One of the women caught is the wife of a suspect. All five suspects know each other.

"All the detained women were present during the attack and had recorded the incident," he said.

One of the male suspects was found with nine priors on his criminal record and is also currently wanted by the authorities.

"Two more suspects are still at large," he said.
