Man reported missing at Sungai Jempol pump house found drowned

KUANTAN: A man who was reported missing at the Sungai Jempol pump house in Jengka 4, Maran, was found drowned at 7.05pm on Friday (Jan 26).

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department spokesman Zulfadli Zakaria said the victim, Mohd Rohaizan Abdullah, 51, was found about 700 metres from where his motorcycle was located.

The victim, a person with disabilities who was residing at Felda Ulu Jempol, Maran, failed to return home after going out at 8am on Thursday. His motorcycle was found at the pump house this afternoon.

Meanwhile, in another incident, Zulfadli said the department was informed that a man was feared drowned in Sungai Emas, Sungai Lembing, at 3.50pm On Friday.

However, the victim has yet to be identified, and a search and rescue operation effort began this evening. – Bernama
